Mars Habitat

Together, not alone

This NASA competition sought perspectives from outside the aerospace industry to explore how a human habitat could be designed and delivered on Mars. It would use autonomous robots to reform Mars’ natural regolith, to protect the astronauts from the planet’s high radiation levels.

Minmud approached the project using traditional images and also an innovative VR player, allowing the viewer to be immersed in the Martian environment.

The Hassell design for human habitation on Mars reached the final 10 of NASA’s 3D Printing Centennial Challenge.
